Student Centered

At The T3 School, we believe in truly understanding each child. Our teaching focuses on nurturing their unique talents and adapting to how they learn best. This creates a deeply personalised learning environment where every student can thrive.

Our KS3 and KS4 curriculum is delivered in exceptionally small teaching groups, with a maximum of three or four students. It's common for some classes to be taught one-to-one, ensuring unparalleled individual attention. A dedicated teaching assistant provides support where needed across the school. We place a daily emphasis on strong literacy and numeracy skills across all subjects, while other disciplines are explored with creativity and specialised focus.

Class groups and curriculum content are not categorised simply by year group. Groups are categorised by learning styles, sensory needs and class grouping is completed considering the advice of the SEN Team and if necessary, consultation from other key professionals working with the pupil.
Our curriculum captures all the essential elements of the National Curriculum as well as ensuring pupils' Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets are met. We are compliant with the Independent School Standards (‘the standards’) in the schedule of the Education (ISS) Regulations 2014 and an evaluation of judgements as detailed in the Independent School Inspection handbook which was updated in September 2019.

KS3 and KS4

In KS3, students follow the national curriculum through subject-specific lessons. We also provide opportunities for all students to earn AQA Unit Awards, ranging from Pre-Entry Level to Entry Level 3, recognising every step of their progress. Students have access to the resources needed for subjects like ICT, Science, and Art. For physical education, we utilise local playing fields, as well as The Stour Centre, which provides facilities for swimming, badminton, football, and, where appropriate, gym access.

As students move into KS4, a rich array of options awaits. They can pursue GCSEs, or combine them with Functional Skills and a wide range of AQA Unit Awards. We craft personalised timetables to ensure Year 10 and 11 students access the qualifications that best suit their needs. Real-world experience is a cornerstone of our programme; students undertake work experience placements that are carefully matched to their individual interests and needs.
