At The T3 School, we are excited to partner with the farm at The North School, providing our students with hands-on animal care lessons. This unique collaboration allows our students to engage with a variety of animals and learn valuable skills.
Our students participate in a range of tasks, starting with the care of rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, and goats. As they progress, they will have the opportunity to learn about the care of pigs, sheep, and cows and even reptiles, such as tortoises and lizards.
Through this programme, students can earn AQA Unit Awards for their hard work and dedication, with the potential to pursue Animal Care BTECs in the future.
All of this is facilitated by Lottie Matthews, Farm Manager at The North School. Her, and her staff, provide all the opportunities and assist in the AQA Unit Awards scheme.
For more information about the farm, you can visit their website at The North School Farm.
